Darnell claimed the official victory in the 100 lap Renegade
Championship race ran at the Anderson Motor Speedway on Sunday
afternoon Nov. 4, 2007. Twenty one cars started the race with Brian
Powell grabbing the lead at the start of the race. Powell led the race
while Darnell worked his way to the second position. Once he nailed
down the second position Darnell immediately went after Powell. Within
a couple of laps Darnell bypassed Powell and took over the lead. Once
out front Darnell led the remainder of the laps and claimed the
victory. Greg Dodgens finished second. Brian Powell finished third.
Harold Watson finished fourth. Vince Quinn finished fifth.
Chad
Campbell claimed the official victory in the B-Mini Stock race.
The victory was the first of the season for Campbell. Campbell led
every lap of the race on his way to the victory. David Darnell and
Mark Timmerman pressed Campbell repeatedly but Campbell was able to
hold them at bay to take the victory. Campbell and Darnell were side
by side the final lap but Campbell pulled out front out of turn four
to seal the deal and receive the checkered flag. David Darnell
finished second. Brad Burdette finished third. Mark Timmerman finished
fourth. Wayne Hammond finished fifth.
Tyrone Anglin claimed the official victory in
the Super Renegade race. Zac Lane led every lap of the race and
received the checkered flag but following the race Lane’s car failed
to pass post race inspection and the victory was awarded to Anglin.
Eddie Henderson finished second. Earl Young finished third. Ryan
Lockwood finished fourth.
Wesley Thompson claimed the overall victory and
the victory in the Pro portion of the 600 Legends race. Thompson came
from the near the end of the field to take the victory. Justin Ashley
grabbed the lead at the start of the race and led until Thompson made
his way to the front. Once in the second position Thompson moved past
Ashley and took over the lead without much resistance. Once out front
Thompson pulled away for the victory. Justin Ashley finished second
and claimed the victory in the Semi Pro portion of the race. Cody
Blackburn finished third. Andrew Brown finished fourth. Kevin Eskew
finished fifth. Randy Dilling finished tenth and claimed the victory
in the Masters portion of the race.
Chuck Mitchell claimed the official victory in
the B-M Modified race. Mitchell led every lap of the race on his way
to the victory. Matt Meyer ran with Mitchell but failed to press him
for the lead but Meyer experienced a problem and dropped out of the
race before the race ended. Carl Sheppard finished second. Alan
Mitchell finished third. Shawn Mize finished fourth. Frank Williams
finished fifth.
Jimmy Burgess claimed the official victory in
the C-Mini Stock race. Zack Dillon led the first half of the race
before relinquishing the lead to Burgess. Brandon Hendrix moved to
second on the same lap. Once out front Burgess led the final half of
the race and took the victory. Hendrix failed to press Burgess and
settled for the second place finish. Zack Dillon finished third. Chad
Stewart finished fourth. Michael York finished fifth.
Austin Northcutt claimed the official victory
between the two Young Guns drivers. Austin Aker finished second. The
Young Guns drivers competed along with the C-Mini Stock drivers.
