By Tony M. Suttles
Mark
Timmerman grabbed the lead at the end of lap two of the B-Mini Stock
race held at the Anderson Motor Speedway on Friday night March 23,
2007 and never looked back as he led the remaining eighteen laps and
claimed the official victory in the season opening race. Henry Vaughn
grabbed the lead at the outset of the race and led the first two laps
before he relinquished the lead to Timmerman. Henry Vaughn held the
second position the remainder of the race and finished in that
position. Scott Hamby pressured Vaughn as the laps wound down in the
race but had to settle for the third place finish. David Darnell came
from the rear of the field and made numerous advances before finishing
in the fourth position. Eric Sargent finished fifth.
Barry
Tollison led every lap of the Super Renegade race as he easily out
distanced the remainder of the field and held on at the end to take
the official victory. Brian Beckner ran in the second position
throughout the race but never seriously challenged for the lead but he
did make a last turn run to close the distance on Tollison. Beckner
finished second. Dale Key finished third. Whitey Suttles finished
fourth. Terry Chandler finished fifth.
Austin Northcutt
claimed the official victory in the new Young Guns division. Trey
Gibson led the first seven laps of the race before he was bypassed by
Northcutt. Gibson had to settle for the second place finish. Brandon
Moore finished third. Austin Aker finished fourth. The Young Guns
division is open to drivers age twelve to fifteen and many new drivers
are expected to appear this season.

lap of the caution free C-Mini Stock race as he claimed the official
victory. York was never challenged during the race. Zack Dillon
finished second. Robert McGaha finished third. Brandon Hendrix
finished fourth. Ben Kay finished fifth.

lead. Randy Bryant finished second. Tim Smith finished third. Matt
Green finished fourth. Frankie Williams finished fifth.
Wesley Thompson led
every lap of the Legends race as he claimed the overall victory and
the victory in the Pro portion of the race. Max Gresham and Justin
Ashley ran close to Thompson the first three laps of the race but soon
dropped off Thompson’s pace. Once they fell back the two began a
battle of their own with each sharing the second position on more than
one occasion. In the end Max Gresham finished in the second position.
Justin Ashley finished third but claimed the victory in the Semi Pro
portion of the race. Jerry Rector finished fourth and claimed the
victory in the Master portion of the race. John Gallman finished
fifth.

as he claimed the victory in the ‘Talking Phonebook’ Renegade race.
Watt was pressured a couple of times in the race by Justin Cone but in
the end Cone had his hands full with John Kelly. John Kelly bypassed
Cone as the laps wound down in the race to take the second place
finish. Justin Cone held on to finish in the third position. Donnie
Kelly was involved in an accident near the half way mark of the race
but was able to come from the rear to finish fourth. Chris Ingle
