Moore from Gainesville, Georgia claimed the victory in the Georgia
Asphalt Series (GAS) Pro Late Model race ran at the AMS on Friday night July 13, 2007. Following Moore across the
finish line was Russell Fleming from Dacula, Georgia. Kevin Stephens
from Gainesville, Georgia finished third. Joey Senter from Jefferson,
Georgia finished fourth. Kyle Fowler from Smyra, Georgia finished
fifth. This is an unofficial finish for the GAS Pro Late Model race.
An official rundown can be found on the Georgia Asphalt Series
website.
Austin
Aker captured his first career victory in the Young Guns race. During
the special night of racing at the Anderson Motor Speedway the Young
Guns drivers competed in the same race as the C-Mini Stock drivers.
Austin Aker was the top finisher of the Young Guns drivers and he was
the official victor in that portion of the race. Austin Northcutt
finished second. Dylan Wages finished third. The familiar number 33
car driven by Trey Gibson has decided to move to the C-Mini Stock
class on a full time basis and that is where he was scored.
Brandon Hendrix finally claimed the
official victory in the C-Mini Stock division. Jamie Altop stepped in
the #99 car normally driven by Zac Dillon and led every lap of the
race and received the checkered flag but following the victory it was
determined that Altop was an ineligible driver since he has competed
in other divisions at the speedway and only new drivers are allowed to
compete in the C-Mini Stock class. Brandon Hendrix finished second and
was awarded the official victory. Hendrix has received the checkered
flag three times this season but has failed post race inspection on
each occasion but he finally took the official victory when he did not
receive the checkered flag. Trey Gibson finished second. Chad Stewart
finished third. Ben Kay finished fourth. Chad Black finished fifth.
John Stancill claimed the overall
victory and the victory in the Semi Pro portion of the 600 Legends
race. John Gallman led the first three laps of the race before he
relinquished the lead to Stancill. Once out front Stancill led the
remainder of the race on his way to the victory. Andrew Smith finished
second and claimed the victory in the Pro portion of the race. Jerry
Rector finished third and claimed the victory in the Masters portion
of the race. John Gallman finished fourth. Scott Anderson finished
fifth.
Mark Timmerman claimed the official
victory in the B-Mini Stock race. David Darnell led over three fourths
of the race before he experienced a problem and dropped back in the
field. Mark Timmerman and Chad Campbell battled by Darnell as the laps
wound down on the race with Timmerman taking over the lead position.
Timmerman led the final laps and received the checkered flag. Chad
Campbell finished second. Wayne Hammond finished third. Following the
race Hammond lodged a protest against Timmerman and Campbell. Both
Timmerman and Campbell were declared legal so therefore the top three
retained their respective finishes. Joey Harris finished fourth. Trace
Embry finished fifth.
Robin Darnell led every lap of the
Renegade race and claimed the official victory. Numerous drivers
battled behind him for respective positions but none challenged
Darnell for the lead position. Ken Dillard finished second. Terry
‘Bubba’ Thurston finished third. Bryan Beckner finished fourth. Shawn
Campbell finished fifth.
