Adkins from Cummings, Georgia claimed the official victory in the
Super Pro Truck race ran at the Anderson Motor Speedway on Friday
night July 27, 2007. Adkins grabbed the lead away from fast qualifier
Kevin Barrett early in the race and proceeded to check out on the rest
of the field. Cecil Peels moved to the second position soon after
Adkins grabbed the lead but failed to remain close to Adkins. Adkins
pulled away from the field and took the victory with ease. Cecil Peels
finished second. Cohen Motes finished third. Mike Davidson finished
fourth. Kevin Barrett, the fast qualifier with a time of 16.996
seconds, finished fifth.

lap of the special $250 to win ‘Talking Phonebook’ Renegade race as he
claimed the official victory. Dillard was never seriously challenged
during the race. Bubba Thurston held the second position early in the
race but had his hands full with Chad Watt which kept him busy and
allowed Dillard plenty of breathing room. Watt held the second
position during the middle of the race but by the time he took over
the position he had Anthony Cordell all over him. As the laps wound
down in the race Cordell finally took the second position but he also
failed to press Dillard for the lead position. Anthony Cordell
finished second. Chad Watt finished third. Terry Thurston finished
fourth. Bryan Beckner battled by Jim Reynolds as the laps wound down
in the race to finish fifth.
David Darnell led every
lap of the B-Mini Stock race on his way to the official victory. Scott
Hamby held the second position the first half of the race but failed
to challenge Darnell. Mark Timmerman over took Hamby soon after the
midpoint of the race but he also failed to challenge Darnell. Mark
Timmerman finished second. Scott Hamby finished third. Chad Campbell
finished fourth. Todd Stevenson finished fifth.
Wesley Thompson led
every lap of the 600 Legends race and claimed the overall victory and
the victory in the Pro portion of the race. Justin Ashley held the
second position the first half of the race before he relinquished the
position to Andrew Smith. Both Ashley and Smith ran close to Thompson
but neither challenged him for the lead position. Andrew Smith
finished second. Justin Ashley finished third and claimed the victory
in the Semi-Pro portion of the race. John Gallman finished fourth.
Kevin Eskew finished fifth. Jerry Rector finished sixth and claimed
the victory in the Masters portion of the race.
Matt Meyer came from
the rear of the field in order to claim the victory in the B-M
Modified race. Meyer received the checkered flag in his heat race but
was relegated to the rear of the main when the officials stated he had
jumped the gun on one of the starts. Chuck Mitchell held the lead
position until he was bypassed by Meyer on lap twelve. Once out front
Mitchell ran with Meyer before he got crossed up in turn one and
dropped back. Chuck Mitchell finished second. Will Ragsdale finished
third. Shawn Mize finished fourth. Alan Mitchell finished fifth.
Trey Gibson led every
lap of the C-Mini Stock race and claimed his first official victory in
the division. The race was the second for Gibson since he moved up
from the Young Guns division. In his first race two weeks ago he
claimed the second place finish. Michael York finished second. There
were numerous battles for the positions behind Gibson but no one was
able to challenge him for the lead position. Chad Stewart finished
third. Brandon Hendrix finished fourth. Jimmy Burgess finished fifth.
