Anderson Motor Speedway is welcoming the Late Model Stock drivers back to competition beginning with the 2010 SEASON OPENER on Friday, April 9th. The rules are the same as the NASCAR Late Model Stock rules and the tire Rule is Hoosier F45. Tires do not have to be purchased from the track, but will be available at each of our Tuesday practices for the cost of $120 per tire / $480 per set un-mounted (tire changer is not available on practice nights). The fee for mounted tires is $500 (Fridays only). Fuel: Each LMS driver must purchase at least 5 gallons of Sunoco fuel at the current cost of $8.00 per gallon.
At the present we have six Late Model Stock events on the 2010 schedule – see below. More could be added, but participation will dictate any added events. I really need YOUR participation to help us grow!!!
Practice schedule: Saturday, March 27th (1-5PM) and FRIDAY, April 2nd (5-9PM). Tuesday night practices begin on Tuesday, April 6th (5-8PM). The cost to enter the Pit Area for practice is $10 per person. Spectators may watch from the grandstands for free.
April 9th Event Information:
50 Lap Main / Qualify to start (around 8PM; one lucky Jr Fan Club Member will roll a die to see if/how the field will be inverted. $100 pole award sponsored by Baron Tire Co. (seeking sponsor)
Grandstand admission: $10 for Adults (kids under 12 – Free)
Pit Admission: $20 (One time AMS Membership fee of $25 for anyone entering the pit area – crew, wives, girlfriends, etc); Anyone age 14 and over MUST purchase a pit pass to enter the pit area. Anyone under the age of 17 must have a parent and/or guardian release form on file with the track.
Payoff is as follows: 1st: $1,000; 2nd: $600; 3rd: $400; 4th: $300; 5th: $250; 6th: $225; 7th: $200; 8th: $185; 9th: $175; 10th: $150; 11th: 125; 12th: 105; 13th – 20th: $95 – Winnings paid to drivers after event!
