Late Models Return and Porter Leads The Pack, Whitfield Continues Streak In “Talking Phonebook” Renegades
Randy Porter claimed the official victory in the Late Model Stock race ran at the Anderson Motor Speedway on Friday night April 9, 2010.  The Late Model Stock cars made their first appearance to the speedway for the first time in several years with twelve cars making the appearance.  Porter was the fastest qualifier with a time of 15.11 seconds.  A dice was rolled after qualifying and the top five qualifiers were inverted which placed Anthony Anders and Neil Meredith on the front row.  Meredith grabbed the lead at the start of the race and held it while Porter worked his way to the second position.  Porter battled with Meredith for several laps before taking the lead for good on lap twenty five.  Once out front porter pulled away to almost a half a straight away victory.  Neil Meredith finished second.  Ralph Carnes finished third.  Anthony Anders finished fourth.  Kenneth Headen finished fifth.

Chris Whitfield claimed the official victory in the “Talking Phonebook” Renegades division.  Whitfield led every lap of the race on his way to victory.  Jim Reynolds pressed Whitfield early in the race but soon dropped off the pace set by Whitfield.  Jim Reynolds finished second.  Kenneth Bearden finished third.  Jamie McCall finished fourth.  Brad Mabry finished fifth.

Barry Tollison claimed the official victory in the Racers Edge/Vickery Speed Shop Super Renegades division.  Tollison led every lap of the race and took a five car length victory over Bryan Beckner.  Bryan Beckner finished second.  Eddie Henderson finished third.  Mike Thompson finished fourth.  Whitey Suttles finished fifth.

Chad Campbell claimed the official victory in the B-Mini Stock race.  Campbell led every lap of the race but the victory did not come easily.  A host of competitors ran nose to tail the fist five laps of the race with Mark Timmerman moving to second early in the race.  Before Timmerman could challenge Campbell there was contact between Timmerman and another car which sent Timmerman to fifth.  Timmerman worked his way back to second near the end of the race and made a last ditch effort out of turn four of the final lap to over take Campbell but Campbell held him at bay to secure the victory.  Mark Timmerman finished second.  Ben Kay finished third.  David Darnell finished fourth.  Scott Hamby finished fifth.

Austin Northcutt claimed the official victory in the C-Mini Stock division.  Northcutt and Jack Kelly battled the first two laps with Northcutt taking the lead at the end of the second lap.  On lap three Kelly over takes Northcutt but his time at the front is short lived as he experienced a problem on lap four and drops out of the race.  Northcutt regains the lead and holds it until lap eight when Austin Aker grabs the lead following a restart.  Aker holds the lead position until the final lap when Northcutt gets under him in turn two and holds him off for the victory.  Austin Aker finished second.  Avery Burgess finished third.  Russell Powell finished fourth.  Matt Johnston finished fifth.

Matt Meyers claimed the official victory in the B-M Modified division.  Meyers led every lap on his way to the victory.  On the first start of the race Meyers made a daring move trying to get to the front which resulted in three cars trying to get into turn one at once.  Chuck Mitchell was forced high and ended up spinning out.  On the restart Meyers grabbed the lead with Will Ragsdale second.  Ragsdale pressed Meyers the first five laps but soon dropped off the pace.  Will Ragsdale finished second.  Chuck Mitchell finished third.  Chad Parris finished fourth.  Tim Stokes finished fifth.

Randy Gunton claimed the official victory in the Legends division.  Gunton led every lap of the race and was never challenged for the top spot.  Cory Parham finished second.  Rex Brown finished third.  Brandon Simpson finished fourth.
