Coming up on Friday, July 11th: Stock car racing returns to Anderson Motor Speedway in seven divisions. Fireworks will take place on and off the track as J&H Amusement and Shelton's Fireworks (Exit #2 just off I-85) is sponsoring a fireworks display in honor of the Independence holiday. The South Carolina State Guard will present colors and a red, white and blue balloon liftoff will take place following the National Anthem. It’s also Speed Racer Night for the Jr Fan Club – the first 60 kids will receive a Speed Racer car.
Gates will open at 5PM and racing will begin at 8PM. Grandstand adult admission is $10 and kids under 12 are admitted FREE.
Anderson Motor Speedway is located off Interstate 85 at Exit 27, north on Highway 81 1.5 miles. Additional information may be obtained by calling our business office at (864) 882-0220.
Note: The Georgia Asphalt Series (GAS) Series returns on Friday, July 18th with the Upstate 100 and Borg Warner Night at the Races! The Upstate 100 will feature the Carolinas and Georgia’s top Late Model Stock drivers competing in 100 green flag laps plus the AMS local divisions.
